Overview: 

The Diploma in Early Childhood Education  is aimed at preparing learners to meet the demands and challenges of the teaching profession at childcare centres and pre-schools for both public and private sectors. It is structured to enable graduates to acquire competencies in identifying the teaching and learning approaches for young children, and to be reflectively and professionally engaged in teaching-learning processes and experiences, curriculum planning, and aspects of management.

This programme is designed, delivered, assessed and awarded by SEGi University through the Africa Open Learning Platform. 

Endorsement & Recognition: 


This programme is recognized and endorsed by the Seychelles Qualifications Authority (SQA), established under the Seychelles Qualifications Authority Act of 2005.

Entry Requirements: 

IELTS 5.0 is required if the applicants prior education was not delivered in English

i. A pass in O Level or its equivalent, with a minimum of three (3) credits in any subject;

OR

ii. A pass in Senior High School or its equivalent, with a minimum of Grade C (GPA 2.00) in any subject;

OR

iii. A Level or its equivalent with a minimum of Grade E in any subject;

OR

iii. A Certificate or its equivalent.

Upon successful completion of this Diploma in Early Childhood Education programme and meeting the necessary entry requirements, students will be able to progress into the following programme(s):
