Micro-credential certification in Typography Design BVCD1154 (BVCD)
This course introduces the student about the basic specification, copy fitting, and kerning as well as developing a full understanding of the terminology used by typographers. Structured to let students feel at ease with the technical aspects of typography that must be learned if they are to design and work with type intelligently and creatively. The next stage of Typography aims to extend information learned; therefore Typography now becomes the medium and the message of symbolic communication. Thus inherent from different typefaces is explored. Typographic relationships with other graphic elements are investigated through brochures, poster, and other 2-dimensional projects.
