This course enables students to know and appreciate the importance of early intervention and the provision of support services for children with special needs. Various types of early intervention programmes and support services for special needs children according to the nature of their disabilities are discussed. Students will also have the opportunity to observe and evaluate early intervention programmes run by the NGOs in this country.
